OBT has a contract with Consortium for Worker Education to administer the Jobs to Build On (JtBO) program. This FREE service provides placement to eligible (unemployed, low income, etc.) individuals 18 and above.

Adult Education and Literacy Program
ESOL, GED, Pre-GED, and ABE
This program was launched in 2007 to provide ESOL, GED, and Pre-GED classes to adults in the communities we serve. We offer Pre-GED, GED, ABE, and beginning ESOL classes from our Bushwick site. Classes are free and are open to anyone living in New York City. Proof of citizenship is not required.
Classes have two cycles: Fall (September - January) and Spring (February - June). Anyone interested in these classes is encouraged to sign up now; space is limited.

Is a low-cost evening program that offers Pre-GED, GED, and Computers (Microsoft Word or Excel) that is open to the general public, 18+. Availability: Tuesday & Wednesday, 6-8 p.m., three eight-week training cycles annually. The population consists of older teen and adult high school dropouts and newly arrived immigrants who wish to improve their earning power through literacy and technical training.
