Starting on May 3, 2010, Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to bid on to raise money for our organization.

The mission of OBT is to help disadvantaged populations recognize their own self-worth, and advance towards self-sufficiency and financial security through employment and training, academic reinforcement, improved life skills, job placement, and support services. Our approach has been described as “tough love,” with the goal being to expose students to the high standards and demands they will face in the workplace, while at the same time, offering counseling for those who are experiencing personal difficulties during their training.

Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow’s programs could not be possible without financial support from our sponsors and individuals like yourself.

Please help support OBT by participating in this exciting online auction. Here are examples of what your donation can support:

$50 provides a trainee with lunch and car fare money to attend the program for one week
$100 provides a trainee with all the books and supplies necessary to complete the program
$250 provides 25 trainees with a GED Book
$500 provides OBT with a new computer that is used for training young adults in the program
$1,000 pays for one adult to participate in 20-weeks of Literacy or English as a Second Language Classes
$2,500 supports 7 weeks of Job Training for one young adult
