Provides a comprehensive course of instruction that educates and prepares young adults for the workforce.
22 weeks
2 cycles per year (September & February)
MON - FRI
8:30 am – 4:15 pm
Business English, Business Math, GED & Pre-GED classes (if needed), Keyboarding, Office Procedures, World of Work, Microsoft Office Applications, & Job Placement Services.
On-site GED classes are conducted by the NYC Dept. of Education’s Off-Site Educational Services.

Young Adult Internship Program

Provides paid internships to young adults who are not currently working or in-school. Priority given to residents of CD 1 & 4 (Williamsburg/Greenpoint/Bushwick)

Bushwick Workforce Resource Center (BWRC)
The BWRC serves as an extension to our Bushwick site. The BWRC serves the community by offering greater access to social services, education, job training, and employment services for young adults and adults in and around the Bushwick/Ridgewood community.

Visitors of the BWRC will receive assessments to determine employment, educational and social needs. Appropriate referrals will be made to community based partnership organizations for services regarding: Adult Job Placement, Education and Skills Training Programs, Gov’t Benefits and Health Care.

Provides Pre-GED, GED, ESOL & Adult Educational instruction to individuals 19 years of age and older.

Learn in the Evening (LITE)
Provides instruction GED, Pre-GED preparation and in advanced computer applications in a condensed schedule to accommodate full-time workers.

Each class requires a $20 registration fee. GED class includes book and test appointment - $125.00. Computer classes are provided with state of the art computer applications - $150.00.

Stay at Work Program (SAW)
Provides job retention support for the newly employed OBT graduate
OBT Sunset Park:
First Thursday of every month
Time: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

OBT Bushwick
Third Wednesday of every month
Time: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
SAW was designed to promote job retention by providing OBT graduates with a forum of peers to discuss and/or ease the transition to the workforce through group and individual counseling.
Medical Administrative Assistant Training Program
The Medical Administrative Assistant Training Program (MAA) is a free based program that can provide you with the training and experience you will need to have a successful career as a medical administrative assistant.
10 Weeks
3 Cycles a year
